Systems Leadership: A Vehicle for Change
The underpinning of our work is based in systems leadership- this means crossing boundaries, embracing broad perspectives and creating unlikely partnerships to develop the most innovative and impactful solutions. As our Food Lab team works with many partners toward the health of different farming systems and supply chains, we help create projects wherever opportunities arise, and we keep learning about what works, barriers that get in the way, and the next stage of strategy to deepen the desired change.
Sometimes this change process is within organic markets and sometimes it’s inside a mainstream commodity production or decentralized, smallholder systems. Sometimes a single company is improving its supply chains, and sometimes the action is collaborative, with companies and NGO or academic supporters. No matter who’s involved, we use our systems leadership approach to open perspectives, support honest dialogue and identify measurement tools and frameworks that together lead to long lasting solutions.
