Patrick is an interdisciplinary scientist focused on the intersection between agriculture, ecology, and human decision-making. He assists the the Food Lab with project management, data analysis, and scientific support for the Cool Farm Tool and Organic Grains initiatives.
Patrick’s background encompasses work in academic and for-profit settings where he has served in leadership roles and as an individual contributor. His work has spanned a variety of bioregions, from small farms in Vermont to large landscapes in Montana and Mongolia. Patrick collaborates with partners to increase food system sustainability and to strengthen the science behind agroecological management. Patrick holds a PhD from Montana State University.
