Jill assists with a range of support tasks at the Food Lab including research, communications, operations and administration. She brings a background in sustainable food systems and project and organizational management. Prior to her work at the Food Lab, she directed a small non-profit educational farm where she did everything from create annual budgets to build a new website to photograph baby goats and toddlers. She also has experience running programs connecting farmers, consumers and landowners and has served as a volunteer and board member at various local food organizations. She earned her master’s degrees in Environmental Studies and Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she specialized in Community Food Systems. Jill completed her undergraduate work at Swarthmore College and has a bachelor’s degree in biology. She enjoys learning new perspectives, synthesizing ideas, and helping projects and organizations function smoothly and effectively.
