We are excited to announce the release of the Lean Research Field Guide v1.0!
The Lean Research Field Guide is the result of a collaborative effort by the Lean Research and Sustainable Food Lab communities and includes 45 practices and practical examples from 10 different organizations.
Published by MIT D-Lab, many people contributed to the guide by helping to define the structure, providing examples and content, and offering valuable feedback. In addition to MIT D-Lab, colleagues at the following organizations contributed to the guide: Root Capital, Committee on Sustainability Assessment, Minnes Group Consulting, Sustainable Food Lab, Rikolto, Syngenta, Technoserve, The Fletcher School at Tufts University, UTZ and Rainforest Alliance, and William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan.
Lean Research is an approach to research, monitoring, and evaluation in the contexts of international development and humanitarian work. It emphasizes the principles of rigor, respect, relevance, and right-sizing. The Lean Research community of practice is committed to applying these principles to their work.
