Pricing Strategies to close the Gap and the need to consider Supply Management

In this webinar, hosted by the Living Income Community of Practice, we will be joined by Yuca Waarts from Wageningen University & Research to discuss the macroeconomic factors that must accompany higher prices to avoid the vicious cycle of oversupply and subsequent price collapses. Yuca will review previous supply management systems in coffee and dairy in the EU, asking what can we learn and apply to the cocoa industry?  Finally we’ll be joined by Canadian Dairy Farmer, Jason Erskine, who will review the Canadian dairy system-a supply management system in place since the 1970’s.
