Competition Law & Living Income
April 25, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am EDT
The Living Income Community of Practice, an organization co-hosted by SFL, ISEAL and GIZ is hosting a webinar focusing on competition law. How does competition law relate to a living income? Competition law has a key role to play in the system where sustainability initiatives develop and has an impact in the ability for those to achieve closing the income gap. Using the frame of two recently published papers (Competition Law and Sustainability – A study of industry attitudes towards multi-stakeholder collaboration in the UK grocery sector (Fairtrade Foundation, 2018) and EU Competition Law and Sustainability in Food Systems – Addressing the Broken Links (Fair Trade Advocacy Office, 2018)), David Taylor (Fairtrade Foundation) and our very own Don Seville will frame a debate on the issue of competition law in the context of living income.
